Rex Mafiana as the CEO of FPG Technologies Ltd is charged with the overall responsibility of its strategy formulation,
performance monitoring, and continuous improvement to bring about innovative technology solutions that drive extreme
business agility with confidence and long-term customer success. His leadership has seen the company breaking all
bounds and exceeding results right from its first year of operation. Under Rex’s leadership, FPG has become the foremost
leader in Information Technology in Nigeria with clients spanning all sectors of the Nigerian market.
Before FPG, Rex was the West Africa District Manager of NetApp Inc., a US-based company (Fortune 500, S&P 500,
Nasdaq 100 – NTAP), whereas part of the global leadership team, he built the West African team and business to the
number 1 market share position in west Africa, a rare feat considering that the parent company was no2 and 3 in most
other places at the time.
Before NetApp, Rex was the West African Sales manager for IBM (S&P100, Fortune 100, Nasdaq 100) STG where again he
made sure that IBM retained a lion share of the Server market, especially in the Banks. Prior to moving to IBM, Rex served
for about seven years with Computer Warehouse Limited one of the foremost indigenous Information Technology
companies locally where he built over 7 lines of business, leaving in 2006 as a Senior Manager.
Rex has gathered over 21 years of Information Technology experience and over ten of which was spent in challenging
(and rewarding) Senior Management positions. Rex is a graduate of Electrical Electronics Engineering from the Federal
University of Technology, Owerri and has received executive education and certifications from numerous prestigious
organisations and business schools including Harvard. He is happily married to Hannah Kamphuis and they are blessed
with a son. Rex is active in the community and passionate about mentoring the youth. He enjoys good music and a game
of Chess in his spare time.
